APPEARANCE: Kani’s hair is wild and thick, but it is in fact surprisingly well-groomed. It is a violet pale enough to be considered pink, and there are streaks of much stronger violet going through. They may seem like highlights, but she was pretty much born this way. The hair parts into two at her nape and goes right down to her elbows. Her skin is, in contrast to all her companions thus far, like dark brown autumn leaves. Bright golden eyes stand out on her face.
    Her standard battle attire consists of a short-sleeved tank top, which is a dark magenta with a design of golden intertwining leaves woven in. Around her navel is a sash of black and red patterned akin to a friendship bracelet, beneath which there is a dark magenta skirt with the same pattern as her tank top, and it goes down to her knees. On her feet are small, velvet moccasins, black with red thread scattered all over it. Over her shoulders is a small black cape, small enough that the tips don’t even touch her midriff (but it still flaps a lot). It is fastened at the front of her neck with a brooch, a round milky mother-of-pearl gemstone embedded with a hexagon of platinum.
    Outside battle, she’s still gonna be wearing this. Even if it’s going to be something else, it’s still going to be this flashy.

GEAR: She usually doesn’t have anything on her. But she might as well use any excuse she can to grab anything that can make some noise.

POWERS/ABILITIES: Being an Audiomancer, Kani is capable of manipulating any sound and its attributes.
    She can amplify sounds to volumes that can physically break things such as glass around her, and she can diminish them so that only the most sensitive of ears can pick them up. Said sounds don’t even need to belong to her, though she tends to like it when she’s the one screaming at people.
    She can also choose where which sounds will come out, though said locations will have to be within her visual range. Also, she can alter other sounds to make them sound like something else entirely.
    Even without magic, she has some other sound-related tricks up her sleeves. As a talented voice actress, she can mimic the voices and tones of others, and she lacks the need for any mechanical voice scrambler or disguiser.
    She can play any instrument she comes across. Nobody knows how she does it, she just has the knack. Sometimes, Kani uses her magic to handle more instruments than she can without it.
    That being said, Kani has very alert ears. For somebody who uses her magic way too often, her ears aren’t wasted in the slightest. That doesn’t mean she likes it when someone screams anything non-musical in her direction. If you throw her off with a sound-related attack on your own, she’d most likely be caught off guard.

STRENGTHS: Musical prodigy. Incredible dancer, with the only person she hasn’t defeated in this field being Laine.

WEAKNESSES: Naïve and spoiled. Cannot handle things if they go the slightest bit out of her control.

BACKGROUND: Kani is from a really huge family—I am not even going to go into how far it extends. Her number of living relatives amount close to a hundred people. She’s not the only one with so huge a family, her entire hometown is full of them. This has made for a tight-knit community with several hundred people that have thousands of outside connections.
    Kani herself is from a rather wealthy family. While the general air about those of her household tends to be positive, she has been marked as a prodigy from a young age, and that has led to huge respect from all in the local area towards her. A humongous ego boost followed.

PERSONALITY: Kani is usually a young sweetheart. She may be a little too blithe, but she is understanding once she gets ahold of the situation. However, she is also a spoiled brat, and hates it when she can’t get what she wants. How she reacts depends on the scenario, ask for details. She’s also very emotional.
    In battle, she tends to be quite overconfident. Even in loss, she finds a way to make herself feel better, whether it’s her feeling impressed at having found a worthy opponent or her just trying to pretend the battle never happened. Her attitude tends to motivate both sides, one way or another.
