Name: Miseris (But she will never reveal her name unless you're on her good side.)
Age: 138 (physically 15)
Gender: Female
Species: Bane (a Bane is a shadow elemental)
Appearance: Elementals are, in appearance, human. Their default appearances are basically that of normal human boys or girls with the occasionally odd eye/hair color. They also tend to be scrawnier than the average human. However, they have a series of select other traits that make them stand out (though some of these traits can be hidden). This depends on which elemental you are. Shadow elementals, or Banes, have a pair of very long and large feathered wings sprouting from their crown. These wings can be folded shut, but they are almost impossible to hide.
Miseris has long and straight dark purple hair. (If you know Future Diary, think: Minene Uryuu.) Her hair extends down to her thighs. Her wings are jet black, and so is her outfit: a gothic Lolita dress (by the way, it has long sleeves but a short skirt, a little above her knees). Underneath this are her dark gray tight leggings, with black point-tipped boots. Her eyes are a piercing amethyst. Her skin is very pale, as if she has never seen daylight, but it isn't white enough to be sickly. She has no makeup on.
Personality: Tends to be cold, rarely shows any emotion other than the occasional smirk. But has the capacity for compassion. Make her snap, and you're going to hell.
Powers/abilities:
-Basically, shadow control. And anything related to shadows. DO NOT GET THIS MIXED UP WITH DEATH CONTROL.
-Flight. Pretty self-explanatory.
-Give her a weapon, and she'll learn how to handle it in seconds. (But she prefers to stick to her shadows.)
Strengths: High stamina, intelligence, and power.
Weaknesses: Is not that physically strong.
Inventory: None on her person, but she can seal stuff away in shadows and retrieve them at will, provided there is darkness nearby.

Free Verse Poem: Home
I follow them home again today.
They're always wearing a hood.
Just a hood on just a person.
No, somebody more, but what?
I follow them, they're just up ahead,
But they're always faster than me.
I just want to see their face
But they're always out of my reach.
They turn around every street I know
And suddenly, they are no more.
I give up again, walking home,
And I can hear footsteps behind me.
It's just a person, coming my way,
So I carry on, but I hear
The footsteps behind me, closer, faster,
Before I know it, I'm running.
Can't stop wondering, too curious,
And I look back, a big mistake.
There's more than one head, face, v
Free Verse Poem: I Killed
(This poem came about after a moment of quiet contemplation, not in the wake of any recent events. This poem is not alluding to literal death in any form. All death mentioned in this poem is meant to be viewed in ironic, figurative, or hyperbolic light rather than at surface value. I am not advocating murder or suicide, and if you misunderstand this poem enough to believe such, you are in need of some serious help. I am also holding no specific grudge against anybody.)
Today, I killed my classmates
With laughter.
They were very busy laughing.
The depression that usually flies about their head
Evaporated into nothingness
The moment I tol
Free Verse Poem: I Had a Nightmare
I had a nightmare.
I was running.
But I couldn't tell
From whom
Or why
I was running.
I wasn't fast enough.
I wasn't strong enough.
I ran long enough
But all that time wasn't enough.
It would've been nice if there were trees.
It would've been nice if there was a breeze.
But it's a nightmare
Without luxuries,
So of course I'm running with no air to wheeze.
No wood.
No stone.
No concrete.
Barren.
Yet somehow, the shadows I run on
Aren't soft.
The corridor is endless,
And so are the other corridors
I can run into.
The possibilities are endless.
But she catches me too quickly for me to explore.
I had a nightmare.

For #PirateDreamCove: Astenos
Character Name: Astenos
Age: Looks 18, is 465
Species: No one’s too sure—many suspect she is some kind of banshee or siren.
Gender: Female
Appearance: Astenos is an eerie creature of admiration. She has black overgrown hair, twice as long as herself, which is quick to dry when she rises to the surface. Her bangs are so long that her eyes are concealed by them, and it’s a wonder that she can move around as though she can see perfectly fine. (In fact, she does see perfectly fine.) Though her face is a rare sight to behold, it is a thing of beauty when seen. Those who have seen either it or her power know that she has brigh
